Woodside Energy engaged ICON Engineering to deliver engineering, fabrication management and offshore execution services to modify the DPS-1 Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit for the Scarborough Subsea and Completions campaign. ICON’s bespoke modifications enabled safe handling, deployment and recovery of Horizontal Christmas Trees, integrating multiple vendor subsea and completions systems within a tightly sequenced program. All Scarborough project HXTs were successfully deployed from the DPS-1, with over 8,700 offshore man-hours completed incident-free.
