Woodside Energy engaged ICON Engineering to deliver the Enhanced Definition engineering phase for replacing ageing west cranes on the North Rankin A and Goodwyn A platforms on the North West Shelf. ICON’s brownfield engineering capability and Alternative Execution Methodology identified cost and schedule improvements ahead of installing new Liebherr offshore cranes. Following successful completion of the Enhanced Definition phase in 2023, ICON was awarded the execution phase, scheduled for completion in 2025/26, with zero LTIs recorded to date.
