Santos engaged ICON Engineering to install multiple third-party equipment items and structural modifications on the Valaris MS-1 ahead of the Barossa drilling campaign. Working under significant space constraints and multi-stakeholder coordination, including Valaris, Santos, DNV and third-party equipment owners, ICON developed a live Deck Layout drawing and used 3D point cloud scanning to enable rapid, accurate installation planning. The full structural scope was delivered on schedule, with Santos’ well testing equipment successfully installed and operational for the drilling campaign.
