    The Opportunity

    As a Structural Engineer, forming part of a larger group or as part of a small project team, you will be required to work autonomously solving problems with innovative design solutions including overseeing the fabrication, construction and installation of your solutions.

    The successful candidate will posses the following essential qualities:-

    •  Proven capability in successfully delivering discrete packages of work including design, sub-contractor management, offshore installation

    Role Responsibilities   

    • Preparing cost estimates, scopes of work, specifications, proposals, concept designs;
    • Leading an internal design team;
    • Manage and supervise outsourced specialist engineering tasks;
    • Perform subcontractor management, preparation and monitor ITP and perform QA/QC;
    • Supervise installation personnel and contractors;
    • Occasional site and offshore work;

    Essential

    • Good understanding of the design and fabrication codes and regulations governing pipelines, piping, mechanical and structural equipment in the brownfields environment;
    • Exposure to mechanical engineering within oil and gas in:Mechanical engineering system and or detailed design;
    • Hydraulic mechanical systems;
    • Mechanical components design and specification;
    • Commissioning of mechanical equipment;
    • Experience within an engineering consultancy in the EPCM market;
    • Achievements in the management and delivery of complex packages of work;

    This is an exceptional opportunity for you to work with our Senior Designers, to be trained whilst working across a diverse range of projects.  The Structural Drafter/Designer works in conjunction with our engineering team, where you will be involved in the development of installation and designs, ensuring their technical correctness and compliance with standards; and really challenging your design and drafting capabilities. This is where you will  receive valuable on the job training for your career development.

    Your role responsibilities will include:

    • Design and develop 3d/2d models for manufacture and assembly purposes;
    • Design and detail drawings for structural steel fabrication in accordance with ICON procedures and standards;
    • Producing field layouts, rigging drawings, lift plans, storyboards, arrangement/fabrication drawings;
    • Delivery of outputs in accordance with scope, schedule, cost and quality parameters;
    • Assisting in designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures, and plant arrangements;
    • Produce drawings in the most efficient and cost-effective method without affecting quality or technical accuracy;
    • Working within budget and schedule to deliver drawings within agreed timeframe, meeting all compliance and QA requirements;
    • Respond to queries on drawings from external consultants, clients and contractors as necessary, ensuring responses are recorded and actioned. 

    About You

    You are currently working as a Structural Designer/Draftsperson or have worked in the oil and gas industry since graduating from your Drafting qualification.

    You would have worked as a Structural Drafter for engineering consultancies or EPCMs, with an understanding of subsea equipment handling, install methods and structural installation for greenfields and brownfields. 

    Role Requirements

    Essential

    • 1+ years drafting experience preferably within the oil and gas industry;
    • Qualification in engineering/drafting;
    • Knowledge of structural drafting and detailing;
    • You are competent in AutoCAD and Vault (essential);
    • Experience with Inventor and Navisworks (preferred);
    • Developing details from Engineers’ sketches;
    • Manipulating electronic drawings prepared by others;
    • Interpreting related reference documents and drawings prepared by other disciplines, vendors and outside sources;
    • Attention to detail and accuracy;

    The Opportunity

    This role will allow you to demonstrate your expertise in maintaining  electronic documentation management systems and project document deliverable registers. It will also provide you with the opportunity to apply your in-depth knowledge, and technical expertise in document control, be the central point of contact for controlling internal & external documents and work with our clients’ systems. 

    Role Responsibilities

    You will be responsible for effectively managing the control and distribution of all relevant project documentation. You will ensure the project office and subcontractors always have the most up to date project documentation.

    Your accountabilities will include:

    • Ensure all technical documents are controlled as per company and project procedures;
    • Support development and maintenance of the project-specific Information Management procedure and forms;
    • Supply project reports as required by the project;
    • Coordinate and prepare documentation for mobilisations;
    • Assist the project management and project engineering teams in the close out of the projects;
    • Acquisition, recording, filing and distribution of relevant Australian and International Standards and Procedures;
    • Control the identification, registration, distribution, and retention of all client and vendor documentation;
    • Maintain facilities and databases to ensure efficient operation of the document control function.

    About You

    You have a strong work history of working with large documentation control requirements, particularly in resource/construction industry project environments.  Ideally, you have worked in or have had exposure to the oil and gas industry.

    Role Requirements

    • Proficient in the use of computer-based document control systems;
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of standard document control processes and workflows;
    • Exceptional Microsoft Office Suite skills;
    • Experience in implementing new operating procedures across areas of the business with a proactive continuous improvement approach; 
    • Your are highly organised with sharp attention to detail;
    • You can work independently to organise and prioritise demands and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a Senior Planner /Cost Controller to support delivery of oil & gas projects.

    With your expertise in Primavera, you will have responsibility of managing the project plan. You will be well versed in producing corresponding project schedule analyses and reports showcasing your Primavera skills.

    This Cost Management side of the role will allow you to demonstrate your expertise in overseeing the cost control, forecasting and change management functions during the project through to project completion. You will be required to participate in scope, cost management and progress measurement requirements.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Management of project cost control systems and processes;
    • Allocating dates, durations, constraints, logical links, resources and external links - maintain and update schedule;
    • Participation in internal, external and where required, contract discussions regarding activity, scheduling and prioritisation;
    • Build relationships across the project to facilitate maintenance and tracking of the costs and schedule;
    • Update project schedule activity durations and resource allocations/changes as required to update project forecast;
    • Generate periodic planning reports, identify delays and critical paths, and recommend recovery scenarios and acceleration schedules;
    • Develop “what-if” scenarios and unique schedule analysis as required;
    • Elevate concerns where project-specific decisions put contractual obligations, key completion dates at risk, have resource and cost implications, or could result in delays.

    Role Requirements

    • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
    • Demonstrated experience in project planning and project cost management
    • Strong working knowledge of cost management and planning, procedures, methodologies and protocols on a variety of oil and gas projects and other cost/time related material;
    • Demonstrated capability to drive Primavera to resource load the activities and review constraints to deliver a critical path for the project (this is a prerequisite);
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
    • You are a self starter, you will independently organise and prioritise your work;
    • You are an effective communicator, you are engaging and resourceful;
    • You work collaboratively with all team members; 
    • You think strategically to position the analysis and the conversion, to improve commercial outcomes, by considering schedule and cost levers;
    • You are methodical, detail-minded and highly organised
    • Being able to bring the solutions simultaneously with any identified issues;
    • Being able to handling multiple complex tasks, meeting deadlines, and following through within a fast-paced environment;
    • Being proficient in troubleshooting, reconciling inconsistencies, changes or conflicting demands;
    • Being proficient in assessing the impacts in the design, procurement, construction phases of a project.

    We are seeking an oil and gas Designer who is well versed in the understanding of subsea equipment handing & install methods and the lifting and rigging for drilling & completion rigs. Working in conjunction with our engineering team, you will be instrumental in developing installation and designs, ensuring their technical correctness and compliance with standards.

    You will be involved in work across a diverse range of projects which will challenge you to showcase your design and drafting skills.

    Reporting to the Drafting Manager, your primary purpose is to lead in a senior capacity in completing the production of drawings and 3D models in accordance with our procedures and standards. 

    Role Responsibilities

    • Completion and delivery of outputs in accordance with scope, schedule, cost and quality parameters;
    • Supervise, instruct and monitor a project team of CAD Designers to ensure compliance with QA procedures;
    • Schedule the design resource requirements for assigned packages of work to ensure timely delivery of work scopes;
    • Produce accurate and technically correct CAD drawings, ensuring compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, safety, constructability, reliable operation, construction economy, and operating convenience;
    • Assisting in designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures, and plant arrangements;
    • Produce drawings in the most efficient and cost-effective method without affecting quality or technical accuracy;
    • Working within budget and schedule to deliver drawings within agreed timeframe, meeting QA requirements;
    • Respond to queries on drawings from external consultants, clients and contractors as necessary. Ensure responses are recorded and actioned. Review and comment on fabrication/specialists’ drawings.

    Role Requirements

    • Qualification in drafting
    • Experience in a senior capacity within the oil and gas industry
    • Highly competent in AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault
    • Your knowledge of structural/mechanical steel detailing;
      Naviworks;
    • Developing details from Engineers’ sketches;
    • Manipulating electronic drawings prepared by others;
    • Interpreting related reference documents and drawings prepared by other disciplines, vendors and outside sources;
    • Attention to detail and accuracy;
    • Ability to lead, influence, motivate and drive project drafting teams to produce results;
    • Innovative, strategic thinker with a solutions approach;
    • Effective project monitoring and auditing;
    • Your communication style achieves collaboration, regardless of level of the organisation;
