In January 2021, ICON Engineering Project Engineer Rob Faulkner was awarded an offshore safety award by INPEX, operator of the Ichthys LNG project, for his efforts on the Maersk Deliverer semi-submersible drilling rig.
A Pattern, Not a One-Off
This was the second offshore safety award ICON had received on the Ichthys LNG project — a project the company has a long working history with, including its ARTP B-Series field test for INPEX. A repeat recognition like this reflects the same sustained safety culture behind ICON’s broader HSEQ approach — the kind of track record that, taken together with milestones like ICON’s multi-year Lost Time Incident-free record, points to safety performance as a consistent theme rather than an isolated result.
